You can visit various nearby beaches to Kalo Horio. You can access the well organized beach of Chyssi Akti. It is a sandy beach with all the beach facilities as sunbeds, umbrellas and provisions for swimming and other water activities. It is very renowned beach quite visited during summers. If you wish to go to the secluded and less visited beach for calm and retreat you should visit the beach of Karavostassi. It is pebbly beach suitable for solitary seekers. Another such beach is that of Aghios Panteleimonas. At about 2 -3 km of distance you can access various other small beaches within a small cove and quite tranquil.

Kalo Horio, Lassithi, Crete Island, Greece is small traditional settlement with great sightseeing and peaceful environment. You can also make a visit to numerous small monuments and interesting churches at about 13 km from Kalo Horio in Lassithi. Here you’ll find both natural as well as built up monuments here which are quite fascinating. You may also visit the nearby villages of Aghios Nicolas and Gournia for wandering and exploring the area. If you happen to visit the village during summer season you should not miss attending the local feasts celebrated by the locals here. One of the feasts is celebrated on the 24th of June in the honour of Aghios Ioannis. On 27 of July is celebrated in the honour of Aghios Panteleimon and on 30th of July in the honour of Aghios Syllas.
