SELECTING THE TOILETS – Seats and Bath Sinks

There are a number of toilet seats that are available. You can opt for a Victorian design and go in for a chain pull system. Or you can go in for the water saving toilets. If the space is small you can opt for a toilet that combines the bidet.  There are many styles, colors and designs to choose from. Choose the one that goes with your intended scheme of décor.

Normally the off white color scheme of toilets goes with any color combination. However you can opt for other colors that are also easily available. Visit any of the bathroom galleries and have a look yourself. You can also compare the prices and look of the various toilets online. Many a times, the stuff on display is also available at a discount. Check before you finally place an order.

Toilets are an essential part of all bathrooms. Under the American law its mandatory to install a 1.6gallon flush for all toilets. The bowl of the toilet is available in two shapes, one is the round front and the other is the elongated bowl. The elongated bowl requires more space than the round one but gives more comfort and is more sanitary friendly.

The flushing systems for the toilets are gravity assisted and pressure assisted.

Other options available for toilets are bidets and self-heating toilets.

BATH SINKS

No longer are you restricted to the standard white porcelain sinks. There are a variety of sinks that are available. These sinks can be incorporate into the counter or can be freestanding. The bowls can be made of glass, stainless steel, corian and other such specialty surfaces, concrete, glass, marble, granite and other stones. The choice that you make will be dependent upon the budget that you have for the remodeling of the bathroom.

Decide before hand whether you want a free standing sink or a sink incorporated into a counter. Based upon this decision, the plumber will make the initial fittings. In case you want the sink to be incorporated into a counter, the plumber will make initial fittings for the water inlet and outlet. After this the counter will be set. Therefore it’s essential that the plumber and the counter fixer work in tandem. After the counter has been fixed, the sink fitter will come and fit the sink after which the plumber will join the lines for water inlet and water / waste outlet.
