Dark circles: a Nightmare
Dark circles: a Nightmare
We all just take a quick glance in the mirror before rushing out. There are some who really spend time in front of it but misses what is important. We notice only when it gets worse and then an alarm sets off in our head. Dark circles is a nightmare for all regardless of age. Though for some it is hereditary, for some it can be prevented. The tragedy is most of us knowing how to prevent it are helpless due to the lifestyle we follow.
Today’s world, in its fast pace forgets to take care about health. Eating junk foods, inappropriate food timings and lack of sleep make us a walking corpse. Main reasons for dark circles are lack of sleep and the depression. Now- a- days depression is a part of our life. We even take it to our bed, when we are supposed to take rest. Working for hours in front of computer without sufficient sleep also causes dark circles. For some, it can be because of wearing glasses all the time. Using contact lens is a remedy.
Dark circles can be a warning to our deteriorating health. Studies prove that one needs 8 hours of sleep at night and at least enjoy 1 hour of siesta. Now we know how important it is to get proper sleep. Of course, the best cure for worry is to sleep over it. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and include lots of vegetables in our diet, especially those contain vitamins. Lack of vitamins makes one tired, which is reflected under our eyes. Gastric problems can also cause sleepless nights, which gives dark circles. The skin under eye is very thin and hence it requires utmost care.
Some of us try to conceal dark circles by makeup. If you insist on beauty products, look for those that contain Vitamin A, C, K and Kojic Acid. But it is always good to prevent or cure rather than getting used to it. There are natural remedies like keeping cucumber slices or used teabags on eyes. One can even try a soft massage with both of middle fingers using avocado or almond oil, which helps blood circulation under eyes. Wash eyes with cold water when we wake up and when we go to sleep. For those who sit in front of computer and forget to look at watch, it is better to wash often. But all these can help only to an extent. Do you want to get rid of dark circles to 80%? Try to get proper sleep and drink lots of water. None of us want others to identify us as “a person with sad-looking eyes”. So practice this mantra daily. Many try to do it for few days and then drop it. If we stick to this routine, we can see changes after a month. Yes, patience is necessary to achieve anything good.
Let our eyes mesmerize people around us. So, keep them bright and face the world.
